Managing Director
Mark Phelan is Managing Director of BHP Insurances, which he co-founded in 1998 with director Philip Caswell and Property Developer Eddie Bohan. Mark\\\\\\\'s role is to ensure BHP remains focused on delivering tailored insurance and financial planning services backed up by professional expertise and integrity. Prior to setting up BHP, Mark worked with Willis Insurance Group, one of the worlds leading risk management and insurance intermediaries. In his position as Deputy M.D. of Willis Ireland, Mark gained considerable expertise advising on and providing multi-national and alternative risk solutions for corporate business. Before this, Mark was a Director for 14 years with insurance broker Alan Tierney & Partners and was responsible for the growth of indigenous Irish business and scheme insurance. Mark commenced his insurance career in 1978 with AON Group, an international company providing risk management services, insurance and reinsurance brokerage and specialty insurance underwriting.

Fiona Gill is office manager with BHP. As well as managing the day-to-day administration tasks within the company, Fiona acts as PA to Mark Phelan. She joined BHP in October 2000 and holds a Business Studies Degree.

Director
Philip Caswell founded BHP Insurances in 1998 along with Mark Phelan. As Director Philip is responsible for a large portfolio of commercial clients and ensuring the efficient management of BHP\'s day-to-day operations. Philip has vast experience in the insurance industry, beginning his career in 1988 with international insurance broker Bain Clarkson (now Coyle Hamilton Willis), where he worked as a broker. Following this Philip worked for five years with Alan Tierney and Partners and eventually progressed to the position of International Network Manager with leading global insurance broker Willis Corroon before setting up BHP.

Gordon joined BHP in October 2009 as a Director with responsibility for business development. Gordon has over 22 years experience in the insurance industry having held various management roles in RSA, culminating in becoming Personal Lines Director.

Senior Client Service Executive
Stephanie is a Senior Client Service Executive and is responsible for managing the internal operations of the Commercial Insurance Team in conjuction with Philip Caswell. She also works with Account Directors on business development and servicing the needs of larger commercial accounts within the team. Stephanie joined BHP in march 2010 from Willis where she was an Associate Director with responsibility for a portfolio of corporate accounts. Prior to that she was an Account Executive with Coyle Hamilton Ltd. She has over 15 years experience in insurance broking having commenced her career in 1994 following her graduation from the University of Limerick with a degree in Insurance Studies. Stephanie is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Paraic joined BHP Insurances in December 2009 and is responsible for Life Assurance and Pensions. Paraic has over 13 years experience in the insurance industry having held various management roles in Ulster Bank and Moneymatters. In this time Paraic also held positions with IMAF (Independant Mortgage Advisors Federation) involving negotiations at board level with many of the financial institutions.
